    ABOUT THE SHOW

Gallery 101 and the Wabano Centre for Aboriginal Health, with support from Tungasuvvingat Inuit and Minwaashin Lodge are looking for local art to showcase at an Indigenous human trafficking awareness art show.

This exhibition will bring Indigenous artists together with settlers and new immigrants to address and unpack difficult topics around human trafficking and the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirited People Final Report. G101 supports diversity and freedom of expression, and therefore we invite local Indigenous artists from all walks of life to submit proposals and art ideas for this project.

The exhibition will run from March 7- April 4 2020 at Gallery 101.  It will include several roundtable discussions with some of the Indigenous organizations currently working on this crisis in Ottawa. Artists will be invited to participate in these discussions as well as to speak about their own art work in the exhibition.

Discussion groups about the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirited People Final Report will be held at our partner organizations and Gallery 101 in the months leading up to the show. More info to come.
