Mario Navarro lives and works in Santiago, Chile. He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, where he currently teaches. In 2009 and 2010, he was a visiting professor at Belgium’s HISK (Higher Institute for Fine Arts). He has participated in a number of biennials, including Liverpool (2006), São Paulo (2006) and Havana (2010). He curated the El Árbol Magnético [the magnetic tree] exhibition at the VII MERCOSUR Biennial in Porto Alegre, Brazil (2009) as well as the Daniel Lopez Show at White Box and the Roebling Hall Gallery in New York. He is the current curator of Chile's Museo de La Memoria y Los Derechos Humanos [Museum of Memory and Human Rights].
