Come visit for an in-person vernissage of Le dernier des touristes by Sarah-Mecca Abdourahman and Laurena Finéus. Both artists will be joining us from Montreal and Toronto!

Le Dernier des touristes establishes an environment in which Black figuration cannot be othered and challenges the exotic gaze that happens through one-dimensional perspectives. Demonstrated through honest storytelling of Black identities, Abdourahman and Finéus aim to combat this era of exotic perception by depicting the multiplicity of their identities as first-generation Canadians of the Somali-Indian and Haitian diasporas.

Masks will be required indoors.
