As a multidisciplinary artist-run centre, Gallery 101 is committed to the professional presentation, dissemination and promotion of contemporary visual arts from a broad range of backgrounds and aesthetics. This is accomplished by providing accessible and engaging public exhibitions of local, national and international artists, maintaining a comprehensive web site that hosts our archives and digital projects, sustaining a critical dialogue of contemporary art through publications and bilingual brochures for each exhibition, and by providing a link to current art related resources to artists and the public via our Resource Room.

As part of our educational outreach program, we offer volunteer opportunities to artists, students and people with interest in the arts. Volunteers are able to gain knowledge of the gallery's activities and role in the local and broader community, as well as various office and organization skills such as archiving, installation and clerical duties. Local artists also have the opportunity to be involved in the decision-making process of the gallery as Board members and voting members at the Annual General Meeting. Other educational and dissemination components of our activities include artists talks, lectures, publications, critical texts, student tours of exhibitions, and school presentations at local universities art administration classes.

We invite you to support and contribute towards maintaining this vision.
