The fish in Henry Hong’s artwork are not as anthropomorphized as other animal figures in Turning The Page. He loves the ocean and the water. These fish are in a school (their community). He says that they are going places in the ocean. This is the feeling that Hong wants to create in this work most of all: the feeling of complete freedom of wild things.
