As part of the Asinabka exhibition, we've invited Kaytlyn Nadjiwon of Soft but Sturdy Beadworks to host a small-group workshop at Gallery 101!

Kaytlyn will guide you through the process step by step, so no experience is needed. You’ll leave with a finished piece (handmade by you!) and all the skills to keep beading on your own. Whether you’re a first-time beader or looking to deepen your craft, this is a relaxed, supportive space to learn, create, and connect.

Kaytlyn is a queer ojibwe beadwork artist in Ottawa. Her work is all about building connection, sharing culture, and celebrating creativity.
