Chuck Sands completed his MFA at Concordia Unviersity (Montreal) in painting. Prior to that, he received his Diploma in drawing from the Alberta College of Art (Calgary). He has exhibited in both solo and group exhibitions, and has received numerous grants from the Canada Council for the Arts and the Conseil des Arts et des Lettres du Québec.
