Josée Pellerin lives and works in Montréal, where she completed a master’s degree in visual arts as well as training in multimedia. Her work has been shown during numerous events in Quebec, Canada, France and Mexico. For several years, she has adopted an approach that examines images in their different modes of representation. Taking their inspiration from literature, the permutations created by this hybrid approach produce correlations that encourage the emergence of a narrative space. At present, her work can be seen at the Galerie Sylviane Poirier in Montréal in an exhibition entitled Une histoire à soi. In June 2005, she will be an artist in residence in Buenos Aires in Argentina. She teaches visual arts at the Université du Québec à Montréal.
