Laura Leah's art education has included first year animation studies at Sheridan, three semesters at Bishop’s University in the Fine Arts and Art History along with drawing and painting; and also a one year internship at The Ottawa School of Art with a concentration in the human form and abstraction. She seeks to both inspire and challenge herself to develop her artistic expression through a variety of media. Laura Leah wishes to study sculpture and its relation to issues such as civil rights and aboriginal experiences. Her life over the past several years has been a direction connection to her art. She paints, draws or sculpts on a daily basis and has done this since early childhood. Laura Leah has produced a wide variety of artwork and has had her work presented in several shows and displays. She volunteered her time to different causes such as a live music, live art fundraising evening after the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Laura Leah enjoys attaching her talents and skills to causes and issues that she feels strongly about such as native and aboriginal rights and aboriginal women’s issues.
