Celebrating the closing day of the exhibition
Material Witness: Art, Activism and Fibre
Barry Ace will be hosting a beadwork workshop demonstrating the design and creation of template cut-outs to transfer traditional Great Lakes floral motifs onto fabric. Single and two-needle beading techniques will be demonstrated, as well as, wrapping and peyote stitch techniques for making a beaded rope lanyard.

The workshop is limited to (10) registered participants and the following supplies are required:
Required Materials
12” x 12” raw canvas material;
Beading needles (sized for your beads)
Assorted beads: preferably - white (stem work); green (leaves); yellow and red (flowers) or other colours of your choice.
Beading thread
Scissors
Pencil
Eraser
Card stock paper
Needle nose pliers
