    Saturday, October 25, 2025

    Time:
    14:00 - 16:00

Join Nehiyaw-Michif artist Jaime Morse for a hands-on fish scale art workshop, where you’ll learn to create flowers and jewelry from whitefish scales harvested at Buffalo Lake Métis Settlement in northern Alberta.

Fish scale art is a traditional practice rooted in respect for the land and animals—using every part of an animal to its fullest. In this hands-on workshop, artist Jaime Morse will guide participants in creating flowers and small jewelry pieces using whitefish scales harvested by her father, Randy Mercier, from Buffalo Lake Métis Settlement in northern Alberta.
